Welcome to Tell-All Tuesday, where we learn more about the members of CDIP ! This week we meet Masha Schmick, Owner of Bragabit Bows.

1. What inspired you to start Bragabit and how long have you been in business ? Who does the Bragabit team consist of ?
My daughter started on a Pop Warner team about 8 years ago and it was her idea for me to make bows for the team. Her coach Sophia was very supportive and we still make bows for them 8 years later. I was a stay at home mom with 3 kids ( 2 under 2 years old) and it started as a something I could do from my house. As this bow making hobby grew into a business, it allowed my parents to move from Russia to North Carolina and be close to their 3 grandkids. Now I get to work with my parents every day in our brick and mortar store in Wilmington, NC.
2. Where can Cheer & Dance teams find you (at cheer and dance competitions or Coaches conferences) to shop your bows and accessories in person?
We will be at CDIP conferences this summer and we sell online through our website http://www.bragabit.com , our Etsy shop bragabitbows, and on Facebook and Instagram. You can also visit our storefront at 5905 Carolina Beach Rd Ste 1, Wilmington, North Carolina.
3. What are all of the products that Bragabit offers?
Our main products are bows in all shapes and forms, scrunchies, hair cuffs, headbands, keychains, and we also offer custom apparel, baseball caps, cups, bag tags, makeup bags, lanyards, car decals, and other custom products.
4. What made you want to join the CDIP?
Growing up in another country my understanding of cheerleading was from the American movies, where I saw pretty high school girls jumping around with pom-poms…until my daughter became a cheerleader! I had no idea of what a truly hard and amazing sport cheerleading is. The same goes for the dance industry. I would like to help break some of these stereotypes that people have about the cheer and dance industry. I believe that creating a community of like-minded people, who are dedicated to promoting cheer and dance, will help to achieve that.
5. What is your favorite thi the Cheer & Dance Industry?
Energy and attitude in a sense of expressing individuality and self-confidence, which, in my opinion, is one of the most important things that adults can help develop in children.
6. What are you looking forward to in 2020?
I am looking forward to another great year, working with all our current and new customers. We have some exciting things planned: new products, new ambassadors program, and new subscription packages. I am also super excited about a small nonprofit (Innovative Dreamers) that we work with, which provides free education and meals to children in Guatemala. Eighty-nine kids just started their school year, thanks to donations from sponsors in the US!
