The NetSmartz Workshop is an interactive, educational safety resource from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) for children aged 5 to 17, parents, guardians, educators, and law enforcement that uses age-appropriate, 3-D activities to teach children and teens how to stay safer on the Internet.

Resources for Parents and Coaches on Child Safety

Established by Congress in 2000, the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) is a unique collaboration of academic and community-based service centers whose mission is to raise the standard of care and increase access to services for traumatized children and their families across the United States. Combining knowledge of child development, expertise in the full range of child traumatic experiences, and attention to cultural perspectives, the NCTSN serves as a national resource for developing and disseminating evidence-based interventions, trauma-informed services, and public and professional education.

Stop It Now! is a nonprofit dedicated to “preventing the sexual abuse of children by helping adults, families, and communities take actions that keep kids safe.” Its website contains resources for parents and caregivers, people who work with children, and survivors of child sexual abuse. This nonprofit also maintains an online help center that can direct you to useful resources for different situations.

Toll-free: 1-800-4-A-CHILD – TDD: 1-800-2-A-CHILD – This hotline can help with reporting abuse, answering questions, giving advice, or providing other information. Trained counselors are available at no cost, 24 hours a day, to talk with callers on a confidential basis. Assistance is available for adults and children facing abusive situations and for adults and children recovering from child abuse or neglect.
